IPCA and Atouch Winwel launch the “Braga IoT Challenge” with € 5000 in prizes

IPCA – Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e Ave in partnership with Atouch Winwel launched the first edition of the “Braga IoT Challenge”, the contest that challenges students, from IPCA and other educational institutions, to develop a product via Firmware or Hardware , the contest have € 5000 in prizes.

In this first edition, the challenge is to promote the exploration of solutions, applications and project ideas that are based on Atouch Winwel modules and that are applied in areas such as Home Automation, Industry, Food or Environment. Other areas may be submitted, but they will have their own merit that will be considered by the jury according to their interpretation.

Each team, which should consist of up to three elements, or individuals participating in the contest, will receive a free Development Kit, consisting of three DONA WiFi modules and a USB programmer that will serve as the basis for the project to be developed.

In the totality of the contest prizes, in addition to the monetary value delivered to the winners, there will also be a prize for proposals with greater scientific merit that will have the costs borne by Atouch Winwel for dissemination at a relevant conference. Atouch Winwel will also guarantee an internship for the team or member that stands out for its technical or communication skills.
